Stephen A. Smith Says The Golden State Warriors Will Win The Chip If They Trade For Ben Simmons

Ben Simmons’ time in Philadelphia appears to be running out day by day. The Indiana Pacers became the first confirmed team to send an offer for Simmons, and more teams could follow over the course of the offseason.

One of the teams that have been speculated to be in the market for Simmons are the Golden State Warriors. While many fans are not fond of the idea, outspoken NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith provided a reason why a Simmons trade is a perfect scenario for the Warriors.

During an episode of ‘Stephen A’s World’, the prominent media personality mentioned that the Warriors are at least Conference Finals-bound with a healthy Klay Thompson. Smith then exclaimed that adding Ben Simmons to the team makes them the eventual NBA champions.

“By the way, Wiseman is going to be good. Keep Draymond and I’ll tell you if you can get rid of Wiggins give up a couple of picks and go out there and trade that to Philadelphia for Ben Simmons. Put Ben Simmons in Golden State with Klay and Steph, and watch what the hell happens.”

“It would be special. They’d win the chip next year as far as I’m concerned.”
