Maria Taylor Close To Leaving ESPN, Nearing Deal With NBC Sports

In wake of the entire Rachel Nichols and Maria Taylor saga, that had Nichols getting caught on a hot mic, saying that Taylor got to anchor last year’s NBA Finals coverage instead of her because the network was ‘feeling pressure’ about its ‘crappy longtime record on diversity’, Taylor is now nearing a deal to leave ESPN for NBC Sports.

Taylor’s current deal with ESPN ends next week and she reportedly turned down a $5 million a year deal last year due to her seeking ‘Stephen A. Smith money’.
