Toni Kukoc Believes They Would’ve Beaten The Houston Rockets Even Without Michael Jordan In The NBA Finals
The hypothetical matchup between the Chicago Bulls and the Houston Rockets in the 1990s still remains a popular talking point among NBA followers today. Even though the Rockets won their two championships fair and square, it still left many fans wondering what would have happened if they met the dominant Bulls squad in the NBA Finals.
Sportswriter Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson now reached out to Toni Kukoc, a three-time champion for the Bulls, and asked him whether the Bulls would’ve beaten the Rockets if they faced off in both the 1994 and 1995 NBA Finals.
While it comes as no surprise that Kukoc believes that they would’ve beaten them in 1995 with Michael Jordan, Kukoc promptly thinks that the Bulls would’ve gotten the edge in 1994 – the year the New York Knicks knocked them out of the playoffs while Jordan was getting his hands on baseball.
Per HoopsHype:
“I think we would’ve beat them. We beat them that year every game we played. But it’s hard to say. Hakeem [Olajuwon] was just something else when it comes to basketball skills. To me, he’s the BEST center of all time.”
