NBA To Name 75 Greatest Players During 75th Anniversary Season Celebrations

In 1996, to honor the 50th anniversary of the NBA, the 50 best players in league history were selected through a vote by a panel of media members, former players and coaches, and current and former general managers. 

Now, 25 years later and the NBA heading into its 75th season, a renewal and extension of the list will be part of the league’s festivities.

A blue-ribbon panel of media, current and former players, coaches, general managers, and team executives will select a new 75th Anniversary Team, featuring the 75 greatest players of all time. The team will be announced in October.
