Joel Embiid And Andre Drummond Now Being Teammates Might Be Interesting Due To Their On-Going Feud
Yesterday, rebounding machine Andre Drummond singed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers for the veterans minimum.
In Philly, he will team up with Joel Embiid, whose backup he is destined to be. This combination though is interesting and possibly adds some animosity to the roster as Embiid and Drummond have had an ongoing feud that dates back 4 years.
Here’s a brief history:
In October of 2017, Joel Embiid made fun of Drummond’s defense:
“Defensively, he doesn’t play any defense. When we started the game, he was being aggressive and he was talking, too. … So what I was like [in my mind] ‘You want to do that? I’m going to kick your [butt] then. So that’s what I did.”
Then, a year later, during a game between the two, Embiid kept screaming ‘he can’t guard me’ in Drummond’s direction.

Embiid then proceeded to flop in order to get Drummond ejected.

Then, a couple of weeks later, Embiid dropped 39 points and 17 rebounds on Drummond, called him a bum and shared his infamous real estate post:

As you can see, most of these times, Drummond wasn’t able to go for the counter attack, but he surely isn’t Joel Embiid’s biggest fan, which makes the pairing quite interesting.
