Paul Pierce Hilariously Clowned All Teams That Passed On Him In The NBA Draft

Paul Pierce hasn’t had the easiest couple of months, as the former Boston Celtics star has taken plenty of heat, substantially more than usual in recent years.

But yesterday, Pierce finally caused some positive headlines again, as he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. His speech was pretty great and hilarious at times. Pierce made fun about Roy Williams being the only white guy in the gym, admitted to arson and stealing a cab, talked about showing up to practice hungover, or basically still drunk, hilariously trolled load management, and made the great yet petty move to thank all nine teams that passed on him in the Draft.

Well deserved Paul!

“Coming out of college, I was a first team All-American, and projected number 2 pick…. So, I’d like to thank the Clippers, Vancouver, Grizzlies, Denver Nuggets, Toronto Raptors, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Philadelphia 76ers, and Milwaukee Bucks. The nine teams that passed on me. I appreciate that. Thank you for passing on me and adding fuel to my fire.”
