Tomas Satoransky Believes Zion Williamson Is Not Leaving New Orleans, Says Media Fabricates Stories To Break Up The Team

Zion Williamson entered the NBA on a hype train, and he turned out to be as good as advertised for the New Orleans Pelicans. Last season, Williamson upped his performance and logged 27.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game on 61.1% shooting.

Williamson is locked into a contract through the 2022-23 NBA season, and he could be what saves the Pelicans franchise going forward. However, it has only been two years since his arrival to the Pelicans yet a number of rumors have already surfaced about Williamson’s uncertain future with the team.

Previously, it was being reported that Williamson is unhappy with the team and that some of his family members want the 21-year old forward to play elsewhere. Because of this, many basketball fans speculated that Williamson would soon make a way out of New Orleans.

With these rumors going around, newly-acquired Pelicans player Tomas Satoransky took it upon himself to clean everything up, suggesting that the media only creates fake narratives about Williamson.

“I have a feeling that some American media which cover the NBA want to break up teams and create fake stories so that something’s happening,” he said. “This one’s dissatisified. This one wants to leave. Most of the time, the truth is elsewhere or in the middle. “It’s definitely not true that Zion in his third season is thinking about not having good players around him,” Satoransky added. “I’m convinced of it.”
