Michael Porter Jr. Says He’s Not Anti-Vaccine: “What I’m Against Is Not Allowing Other People To Have A Choice” 

Despite the scientifically-proven merits of vaccines against the COVID-19 virus, there are still a couple of players who have remained reluctant on getting vaccinated. Michael Porter Jr. of the Denver Nuggets is one of those.

Porter Jr. has been very vocal about his decision on not taking the COVID-19 vaccine. But, like any other unvaccinated athlete, the young Nuggets forward has also caught a lot of heat for his firm stance on this matter.

Amidst all the noise regarding his vaccination status, Porter Jr. has opened up that he’s not against anti-vax despite not supporting the COVID-19 vaccine. The 23-year old controversial forward then stressed that he only doesn’t like forcing people to take it. 

Per The Ringer:

 “We don’t have years and years of data for how it can affect you. So for me, I know I’m immune to COVID right now—more immune than a lot of people with the vaccine are.” The Nuggets scorer said. “I’ve had it twice. I’ve got the antibodies, all those things. It’s just laying off on it for now.”

“I’m not against the vaccine. What I’m against is not allowing other people to have a choice, or people trying to force it on other people.”
