Giannis Jealous Of Khris Middleton And Jrue Holiday’s Post Tokyo BFF Status
Down 0-2 in the NBA Finals, the Milwaukee Bucks suddenly picked up steam and battled back down to beat the Phoenix Suns in 6 games to win their first NBA championship in 50 years.
Aside from Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday were the key players in the Bucks’ title run. These three players continue to form a big three in Milwaukee’s quest to defend their title.
But after the NBA season was set and done, Middleton and Holiday continued to be incredibly successful, as they won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics with Team USA.
Ever since their trip to Japan, the two appear to have become best friends. Something Giannis jokingly is jealous of. Per ESPN:
Since returning from Tokyo, Middleton and Holiday forged an even tighter bond.
“Oh yeah, [their relationship], it’s grown a lot,” Antetokounmpo said on Zoom after the first preseason game. “They sit next to each other in the locker room now. Yeah, they go out to dinners. Dates and stuff.”
“Hey, you sound jealous, man. You all right?” Middleton, who was waiting to join the call next, inquired from the background.
“I’m not jealous,” Antetokounmpo said, smiling.
