Anthony Davis On Facing Alex Caruso And The Chicago Bulls Tonight

Alex Caruso is not necessarily a household name, but over the years, he has gotten a lot of media attention while becoming a fan favorite for the Los Angeles Lakers. As fans made him a target of memes, Caruso has shown that that he’s actually more than that.

A meme disguised as a solid role player, Caruso has established a good reputation on the defensive side of the ball which earned him minutes for the Lakers despite his hardly impressive box score numbers. His off-ball capabilities, ability to steal rebounds and grab loose balls have also allowed him to become an impactful player on the hardwood.

But as you all know, the Lakers fan favorite now is with the Chicago Bulls, and has quickly adapted to his new teams playing style. More so, he’s also slowly becoming the fan favorite in the Windy City.

Tonight, the Bulls will visit Staples Center to play the Lakers for the first time since Caruso’s departure.

When Anthony Davis was asked about the matchup against Caruso, his former teammate, and his hometown team, he revealed that it’ll be a lot of fun to play against Caruso and his hometown team:

“Who? I don’t know that guy.

Nah, it’s gonna be fun playing against AC again. All the stuff he brought to our team to win a championship and to our team last year. He was a big part of what we did here. Probably be a little bit more emotional for him than me, just cause he’s back here in L.A. It’s usually more emotional when I’m back in Chicago. But anytime I get a chance to play the Bulls, it’s always fun to go against your hometown team. It’s gonna be fun and exciting to play against AC. We’re gonna try to get that win against him.”
