Pau Gasol Reveals He Wanted To Honor Kobe Bryant By Naming His Youngest Daughter After Gianna

Pau Gasol and Kobe Bryant weren’t only teammates, who won two titles together, they also were best friends.

Ever since the tragic death of Kobe and Gianna, Gasol has strengthened and maintained his bond with the Bryant family and has been the best friend one could ask for in such incredibly hard times.

Gasol recently made an appearance on ‘The Real Daytime ‘to promote his new documentary ‘Pau Gasol: It’s About the Journey’, and revealed how he honored Kobe and his daughter, Gianna Bryant, through his youngest daughter.

“It was a way to have him and her present in our lives forever. It was probably for us the biggest way that we could actually honor him and her into our lives. And now having Vanessa as the godmother of our baby, Ellie Gianna. You know, that’s life, we’re a family, we love each other and we’re going to be there all the way.”
