Joel Embiid Shockingly Reveals He Thought He Wasn’t Going To Make It Through Covid-Infection
After an extended period on the sidelines due to his Covid infection, Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid came back with a bang and had a monster night in the Sixers’ double overtime loss to the Timberwolves.
Embiid finished his comeback night with 42 points and 14 rebounds and looked incredible in his 45 minutes on the floor.
After the game though, Embiid revealed that his Covid infection was way worse than he ever could have imagined. It even got to a point, where he thought he wasn’t going to make it.
“That jawn hit me hard. I mean, I really thought I wasn’t going to make it. It was that bad so I’m just thankful to be sitting here. I struggled with it but I’m just glad I got over it. That I’m just here doing what I love with some good people.”
