Despite Not Playing, Kyrie Irving Reportedly Is The Happiest He’s Been In A Long Time
Kyrie Irving’s vaccination status continues to be one of the biggest storylines this season. The controversial Brooklyn Nets star chooses not to get vaccinated and now has to live with the consequences of that choice.
Irving is ineligible to play home games due to New York City’s vaccine mandate. On top of that, per NBA’s mandate, Irving will not be paid for any games that he misses as a result of refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Nets then even explained that they’ll sit Irving in all the other games as well. Additionally Kyrie won’t practice with the team until he’s eligible to play in every game.
But even though Kyrie has basically been sitting at home the entire season, there are reports that he is fit and happy, more so, the happiest he’s been in a long time.
Per Bally Sports’ Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson:
“According to people close to him, the 7-time All-star has been working out pretty regularly, focusing on cardio, weight training and meditation, and spending time with his immediate family. This is the happiest that I’ve seen Kyrie in years, one source said.”
