LaVar Ball Says LaMelo Doesn’t Need Advice From Michael Jordan: “When’s The Last Time He Won A Championship?”
Even though he’s on his way to NBA stardom, LaMelo Ball, as a sophomore, still has a lot of things to figure out.
One might assume that LaMelo Ball should take in all the advice and mentoring he could get from the best basketball minds around him, specifically from Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan.
But apparently, it doesn’t work that way according to LaMelo’s father LaVar Ball.
While Jordan is widely-considered as the greatest player to ever play the game of basketball, LaVar still isn’t convinced with Jordan’s experience and knowledge that he could possibly share to his 20-year old son, who has been one of the reasons why the Hornets are competing for a playoff spot this season.
In fact, LaVar doesn’t think Jordan has any advice to give to the young Hornets point guard, noting that the game has changed and the last time Jordan has ever won a championship was in the late 90s.
“How often does he seek out advice from Michael Jordan? Never! What advice he gonna give him? You tell me what advice he gonna give him. … When the last time he won a championship? And the game has changed. What’s he gonna tell him?”
