Magic Johnson Isn’t A Fan Of HBO’s Upcoming Showtime Lakers Show
Mark your calendars. Next March, HBO will premiere its new Lakers project, ‘Winning Time: The Rise Of The Lakers Dynasty’, and the first trailer, that was releases earlier this month is absolutely phenomenal. It certainly looks like a must watch.

It is based on Jeff Pearlman’s book ‘Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s’, and features stars like John C. Reilly (as Jerry Buss), Jason Segal (as Paul Westphal) and Adrien Brody (as Pat Riley). The show is produced by Academy Award-winner Adam McKay, who has directed hit films and series like Anchorman, The Big Short, Succession and Eastbound & Down.
Magic Johnson though, certainly doesn’t think that the show is a must watch, even though the show is supposed to center around himself as one of the superstars of that era.
“I’m not looking forward to it. I’m going to leave it at that,”
