James Harden Is Convinced That Kevin Durant Is This Year’s Most Valuable Player Of The Year
The Brooklyn Nets have rolled up 23 wins with 9 losses in their first 32 games of the season, and the one player who has mostly mustered a strong start for them is without question two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant.
Durant has been on a rampage, averaging 29.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game on 52.3% shooting from the field throughout this season. Considering the form he’s in, many observers have become convinced that Durant is the early frontrunner for this year’s MVP.
One of those is 32-year old Nets superstar James Harden. Speaking to NBA journalist Malika Andrews, Harden showed no doubts and made his answer clear when asked if his Nets teammate is the MVP of this current NBA season.
“He’s overly polished,” Harden talking about Durant. “Natural talent who knows the spots he wants to get to, and he’s going to get there. It’s not on the defender, it’s on him, whether he makes the shot or misses the shot.”
“For sure, for sure,” Harden replied when asked if Durant is the league’s MVP.
