Veteran NBA Coach: ‘You Can’t Have A Hot Woman In The NBA. Guys Will Be Trying To F**k Her Every Day’
Earlier this week, long time San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon took her talents over to the WNBA and signed a contract with the Las Vegas Aces to become their new head coach and general manager.
By doing so, Hammon became the best-paid coach in the WNBA.

The six-time WNBA All-Star has been an assistant with San Antonio for the past six seasons, and was often rumored to become the NBA’s first female head coach. She’s got the expertise, skills and ability to lead a team, so gender really shouldn’t play any role.
But why did she actually never got the chance to coach in the NBA? A chance she actually would have deserved. Well, while the best people should be hired for a job, no matter what gender, race or sexual orientation, the NBA apparently has a long road ahead, to make what should be a standard a reality.
It still is a somewhat sexist and homophobic environment at times. According to a unnamed veteran NBA coach for example, it is not possible to have a ‘hot woman’ as NBA coach because ‘guys will be trying to sleep with her every day’.
Per SBNation:
You can’t have a hot woman in the NBA,” says one veteran NBA coach. “Guys will be trying to f**k her every day.”
“By and large the NBA is an incredibly sexist environment,” says the veteran NBA coach. “I listen to players talk about women. I have a daughter and it’s sometimes disturbing. But it’s nothing new. It hasn’t gotten worse over the years. In our society there are men uncomfortable working under women and a handful of our players would have a problem with it.”
