Kendrick Perkins Calls Kevin Durant And James Harden ‘Soft’ For Not Calling Out Kyrie Irving

After being ruled as ineligible, Kyrie Irving finally made his return for the Brooklyn Nets two weeks ago. The team decided that the 29-year old point guard will only be back for road games as he still hasn’t complied with New York’s vaccine mandates.

The team’s decision to bring back Irving did not develop without causing a stir. Many fans and basketball pundits have lobbied criticism as they believe that bringing back an unvaccinated player doesn’t help in dealing with the league’s COVID-19 problem.

Former player gone analyst Kendrick Perkins now revealed that he believes the Nets locker room is ‘soft’ for not standing up against Irving.

Perk also didn’t like Durant and Harden’s approach of granting Irving his own opinion, and wants them to take a firm stand against the point guard. Per ESPN:

“The guys that are in that are in the locker room for the Brooklyn Nets, they’re soft. They’re soft, starting with KD and James because if they had any type of umph about themselves, they would actually say, ‘Hey dog, look here man this is what’s going on.’ I don’t want to hear from KD in the interview saying, ‘Oh man, Kyrie a grown man, we have to respect his decisions.’ No, call him out.”
