Tyrese Haliburton: “I’m A Member Of The Kings So I’m Gonna Help Fix This, However Long It’s Gonna Take”
For the 1985-86 NBA season, the Kings Franchise relocated from Kansas City to Sacramento, a city the Kings call its home till today.
If we take away the team’s sole successful era between 1998 and 2006, the Kings only made the playoffs twice in 28 years since moving to Sacramento, and not for a single time in the past 15 years.
It certainly doesn’t look like we’re in for a change this year, as the Kings are currently the 13th seed in the Western Conference with their subpar 18-31 record. One of their most promising young prospects however, is here to change that.
After their most recent loss, Tyrese Haliburton said that he’s a member of the Sacramento Kings and he’s here to help fix things, no matter how long it’s going to take.
“I refuse to let the culture of what the Kings have been in the past take over who I am as a person…I’m a member of the Sacramento Kings so I’m gonna help fix this…I don’t know how long it’s gonna take…but, I’m gonna be here and we’re gonna make it work. I promise that.”
