Draymond Green Says Nobody In The League Has Proven That They Can Beat Him, Stephen Curry And Klay Thompson For A Whole Series
From 2015 to 2019, the Golden State Warriors, with a trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green (and a two-year help from Kevin Durant) put up an incredible stretch of dominance by reaching the NBA Finals five times in a row, collecting three championship trophies in the process.
As dominant as they were however, the Warriors weren’t invincible as they showed a handful of weaknesses against the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 and caught some misfortunes against the Toronto Raptors in 2019.
Draymond Green now spoke with pure confidence when assessing their Big 3 of him, Curry and Thompson during an episode of Uninterrupted’s Throwing Bones. The 31-year old big man was caught on record, saying that nobody in the league has proven to be able to beat them for a whole playoff series.
Former NBA shooting guard Nick Young, who was sharing a table with Green, however wasn’t having it.
Green: “The reality is, it still has not been proven that nobody in the league can beat me, Klay, and Steph for a whole series since we won.”
Young: “Toronto whooped y’all ass.”
Green: “Yup, Klay got hurt.”
Young: “He was there for six games.”
Green: “Game 6 was about to be over and Game 7– you going back to Game 7 down 3-1, take it from me, you losing.”
