Emotional Klay Thompson After Passing Kobe Bryant On All-Time 3s List: “He’s My Biggest Inspiration For Playing Basketball”

Klay Thompson is slowly and steadily getting back into form after his long-awaited comeback.

After working his way back following the torn ACL he suffered during the 2019 NBA Finals, Klay Thompson received another devastating blow, when an injury he suffered in last year’s offseason turned out to be an Achilles tear.

But as mentioned, Klay is heating up as of late and has looked more and more like his old self.

During the Warriors’ win over the Sacramento Kings, Thompson then passed Kobe Bryant on the NBA’s all-time three-pointers made list. When asked about this special milestone, Klay told reporters that Kobe’s his biggest inspiration for playing basketball:

“Always a huge honor. We miss him so much, he was one-of-one. And he’s my biggest inspiration for playing basketball. We really miss him and Gigi.”
