Shaquille O’Neal Expresses Lack Of Faith In Phoenix Suns Despite Strong Season: “Phoenix Is Like Utah To Me”

The Phoenix Suns have come out of the gates in a big way after battling through the NBA Finals in last year’s playoffs, and are now cementing themselves as the best team in the NBA in terms of team record this season.

Many believe the Suns are a legitimate threat in the Western Conference and surefire title contenders in the NBA considering just how good they’ve been throughout the season. With that being said, none of that recognition sits right with NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal.

During an appearance on the Big Podcast, O’Neal shared his thoughts about the Suns as one of the league’s title contenders. Expressing his lack of faith in Phoenix, the four-time NBA champion went as far as saying that the Chris Paul-led team is similar to the Utah Jazz.

“They ain’t got nobody that scares you,” Shaq said on the Big Podcast. “Listen, Phoenix is like Utah to me. Got a lot of good players, but some of those players can be punked now, Michelle, I’m just saying.”
