James Worthy Absolutely Rips Lakers After Loss To Blazers: “Lowest Point Ever”

The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t quite lived up to their billing so far this season and have recently slipped to the 9th spot in the Western Conference with a 26-30 record.

Certainly not what the team, that started the season as one of the NBA’s top contenders, expected.

Their struggles continued last night, when they played a trade-dismantled Blazers team and lost. This defeat though, led to Lakers legend James Worthy rip his former team into pieces, saying that it is the lowest Lakers point ever:

“Yeah this is the lowest point of just about any season that I’ve seen as a Laker over the years. I don’t have any words for it, because we’ve used up all our words. We saw Milwaukee come in and we thought that’ll be a measuring game against a good team. We saw what happened. And then, against Portland, a team of professional players, but it was almost like they were playing against local YMCA pick-up group of guys. I think it just goes to show you how deeply, mentally disconnected and the inability to fire your brain up for a game that you know you should win, or for any game for that matter, shows that there’s a really tough virus going on with this team, that I don’t know what the medicine is. This was really bad.”
