Draymond Green Went Off At Kenny Smith After Being Compared To Rudy Gobert: “We’re Not Alike”

Draymond Green and Rudy Gobert have established themselves as two of the NBA’s best defensive players, with the two combining for four Defensive Player of the Year awards and 11 All-Defensive selections.

They both impact the game on another level defensively, but it’s clear that the two players did a lot of things differently on the court. Gobert is exceptional at locking the interior and dominating the glass, creating a safety net for the rest of the team. Draymond, on the other hand, is a do-it-all guy who covers more space around the court.

TNT host Kenny Smith now likened the two players as defensive savants during Sunday’s NBA All-Star game in Cleveland. Draymond, who caught wind of Smith’s statement, apparently didn’t like the comparison and decided to go off at the former Houston Rockets sharpshooter.

“You keep mentioning me in the same sentence with him. We’re not alike,” Green responded. “We ain’t nothing alike.”
