Like Dennis Rodman, James Harden Flew To Las Vegas After Jazz Game While Nets Traveled To Denver

If there’s one thing from ‘The Last Dance’ to highlight Dennis Rodman’s complex and unpredictable personality, it would be the time when he decided to take some time off from basketball to have a vacation in Las Vegas in the middle of the NBA Finals.

But little did everyone know that this actually wasn’t the last time it happened in Rodman’s career.

After leaving the Chicago Bulls to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers before the 1998-99 NBA season, Rodman in fact also decided to take some time off and had a vacation in Las Vegas. The reason was because he couldn’t deal with constant b*tching and complaining from the team’s young players.

Turns out that James Harden had a similar trip when he was still a member of the Brooklyn Nets.

According to a report by Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer, Harden traveled to Las Vegas while the team went to Denver to face the Denver Nuggets.

Harden missed the game due to an injury. An injury, Kevin Durant was skeptical about.

“Kevin was like: ‘F–k it. James isn’t bringing sh*t’, another figure with knowledge of Brooklyn added. “I don’t think that would have happened without Kevin making that decision.”

Harden didn’t arrive at the Jazz game until halftime, sources told B/R. When it concluded and Brooklyn continued with its planned itinerary to Denver, Harden flew to Las Vegas, sources said.

The short flight from Salt Lake City has made for frequent Vegas getaways for Harden dating back to his Rockets tenure, sources said. He would also stay behind following trips to Los Angeles and meet the team at its next destination.”
