Jason Williams Says Kobe Bryant Is Not A Top 5 Player In Los Angeles Lakers History
There’s no doubting how much Kobe Bryant meant to the Los Angeles Lakers franchise. The five-time NBA champion helped usher an era in LA and left a great legacy that will remain unmatched for years to come.
He spent his entire career with the Lakers, retiring in 2016 with a Hall of Fame-worthy resume that includes five championships, two Finals MVPs, 18 All-Star appearances and an MVP award, to name a few.
Kobe established himself as an all-time great talent and certainly lived up to the billing as one of the greatest players in Lakers history, with countless of people dubbing him as the greatest player to ever wear the Lakers uniform.
Despite all of the evidences concerning how great Kobe was as a Laker, it seems like there’s still going to be some unbelievers. One of which was former Sacramento Kings point guard Jason Williams.
Appearing on Players Choice, Williams, also known as White Chocolate, said that he isn’t sure whether Kobe is a top 5 player in Lakers history.
“Kobe’s not as high on my list as people would really think he should be,” Williams said. “I’m not even sure he’s on the top five of the all-time greatest Lakers.”
