Anthony Davis Reacts To Speculations Of Lakers Possibly Trading Him
The Los Angeles Lakers entered the season with high expectations after adding a third star in Russell Westbrook to pair with their dynamic duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Unfortunately, it hasn’t exactly worked out the way others said it would.
After this week’s loss to the Suns, the Lakers were eliminated from playoff contention and will finish the season behind the teams like the Los Angeles Clippers, New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs, who have been marred by injuries just like them.
This obviously raises many questions about potential changed the team will be facing in the offseason. It seems that nothing is off limits right now, even possibly trading one of the stars.
When confronted with the question regarding a potential trade, Anthony Davis said he is not concerned about hypothetical trade scenarios involving him, because all he can control are the things on the court.
Per ESPN:
“I can’t control those things. That’s an upstairs thing. A Klutch, Rich Paul thing. My agency.
I mean, my job is to go out and play basketball. Obviously, I love it in L.A. If that’s something that they’re considering, then we’ll have a conversation about it. I don’t know what they’re talking about, what’s the plan…
I mean, I don’t think they’re planning on doing anything. I don’t know, man. F**k, I don’t know.”
