Mario Hezonja Will Never Be Going To Return To NBA: “More A Show Than The Game Itself”

After being selected fifth overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2015 NBA Draft, Mario Hezonja spent five seasons in the NBA, playing for the Magic, Knicks and Blazers.

Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t able to live up to expectations and was waiting for a breakthrough season in the league, that shouldn’t come.

Hezonja then went back to Europe and last played for UNICS Kazan in Russia. Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the season there is suspended. Nonetheless, the small forward has ruled out a return to the NBA. Talking to TatarHezonja blasted the NBA, saying it is more show than the game itself, while claiming to never go back again.

“I am not going to return to the NBA. I didn’t get the respect I deserved. Also, in my opinion, the NBA is more a show than the game itself!”
