An Emotional Willie Green Had NBA Twitter Also Become Emotional
The New Orleans Pelicans sold themselves dear in the first round of these playoffs.
After two great wins in the play-ins, the Pelicans were a tougher matchup for the Phoenix Suns in Round 1 than everyone had imagined.
Winning two games and fighting hard in the losses, the Pelicans put their name on the list of teams to watch in the next couple of years. Not least because the young squad played with a lot of heart.
After the 115-109 loss to the Suns in Game 6, head coach Willie Green also showed plenty of emotions and was seen hugging Chris Paul.
Contrary to social media normally being a very hostile place, when it comes to people showing raw emotions, NBA Twitter actually loved Wille Green’s emotional outburst, and had even them be in their feelings.
Willie Green is crying as he hugs the Suns and their coaches. That’s what I want to see. This man is the next great NBA coach. The Pels are in great hands.
