Desmond Bane Claims He’s The Best Three-Point Shooter In The NBA Not Named Stephen Curry
Memphis Grizzlies shooting guard Desmond Bane has improved tremendously this season and has reinvented himself as one of the most lethal three-point shooters in the NBA.
Bane had the second-highest three-point percentage in the regular season at 43.6% while averaging 6.9 threes a game. He has also burst on the playoff scene by shooting 45.3% from deep on 8.0 three-point attempts per game in eight games for the Grizzlies.
He has been a far too efficient three-point shooter not to be recognized. So appearing in an interview, Bane was asked about how many three-point shooters are currently better than him in the NBA. The 23-year old shooting guard didn’t lack confidence and gave a straightforward response.
Per Sports Illustrated:
“Steph Curry… Other than that, you’re gonna have to show me,” Bane told Sports Illustrated.
“Steph deserves his flowers, and Klay Thompson, I mean, he’s come back from injury. But outside of that I want to be looked at and talked about in the same conversation as those guys. … That’s what I’m striving for.”
