Jimmy Butler Says Phone Call From Dwyane Wade Inspired His 47-Point Performance

Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler played out of his mind in last night’s Game 6, finishing with 47 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and four steals.

Even though Butler has been suffering from a knee injury, he was able to lead Miami to victory and force a deciding game 7 in their Eastern Conference Finals series against the Boston Celtics.

It turns out that Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade inspired Butler’s 47-point performance. With the team’s season on the line Wade called Jimmy to give him some words of wisdom.

“I got a phone call and text message from Dwyane Wade earlier today and he was telling me I can do this. Knee is banged up, but nobody cares. Go out there and continue to build your legacy. That meant the world to me, so I appreciate you D-Wade.”
