Paul Pierce Included In Major Crypto Scam Lawsuit Alongside Floyd Mayweather Jr., Kim Kardashian And Logan Paul
Paul Pierce is known as one of the best small-forwards to ever play the game. Since retiring from professional basketball, the former Boston Celtics superstar has transitioned to doing a lot of TV work and making appearances on various social media outlets.
His post-playing career however has been marred by controversial statements, flurry of jokes, and controversial life choices.
Last year for example, Paul Pierce was fired by ESPN, after sharing a wild party from his house with the world on Instagram live. There were drugs and a ton of strippers, and most people already saw the inevitable coming.
Now, Pierce is included in a major lawsuit for promoting a crypto coin that he secretly was a promoter or partner of. This resulted in him selling trillions of coins in a “pump and dump” scheme to make multiple millions of dollars.
Pierce isn’t the sole celebrity targeted in the lawsuit, which also includes Logan Paul, Kim Kardashian, Floyd Mayweather Jr and Matt Damon.
Per The New York Times:
According to the lawsuit, Mr. Pierce received over 15 trillion EthereumMAX tokens in exchange for tweets supporting the coin. None of the tweets involved in the lawsuit mention business relationships with the token’s creators. Shortly after promoting the project, the lawsuit claimed, Mr. Pierce sold his tokens – an apparent “pump and dump” operation in which he encouraged fans to buy the tokens, and at a higher price to his own holdings. before selling.
