Jayson Tatum Embraces Jaylen Brown After Game 7 Saying: “They Said We Couldn’t Play Together”
At the beginning of the season, when the Boston Celtics couldn’t get things going and lost a lot of games, the Jayson Tatum-Jaylen Brown pairing didn’t get through this point of the season without criticism.
Brown and Tatum have been both criticized for their lack of playmaking capabilities, with speculations suggesting that a break up may be an ideal scenario for the young Celtics duo.
As we know now, the two responded perfectly and had critics eat up their words, as they not only led the Celtics to the second seed in the Eastern Conference, but also to the Franchise’s first NBA Finals in 12 years.
After a hard fought Game 7 against the Miami Heat, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum embraced each other, with Tatum saying:
“They said we couldn’t play together!”
