Kendrick Perkins Says The Miami Heat Should Trade Jimmy Butler After Loss To The Boston Celtics
Jimmy Butler has been the clear cut best player on the Miami Heat, and he proved that again in their 2021-2022 playoff campaign when he averaged 27.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists to lead the team to the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Heat lost to the Celtics in Game 7 of the ECF, with Butler being the talk of the town for his questionable shot selection in the final seconds of the series. But Butler is certainly not to blame considering his production and the load that he had to carry throughout the series.
That being said, some people aren’t sold on Butler being the No.1 option of the Heat anymore, such as the likes of former Boston Celtics big man and now-NBA media member Kendrick Perkins, who suggested that the Heat should consider trading the 32-year old superstar.
Per Miami Herald:
“After the Heat fell behind 3-2 against Boston, ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins shockingly said the Heat should consider trading Jimmy Butler and rebuild, asserting Miami will never win a title with this core,” the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson wrote.
