Richard Jefferson’s Two-Minute Rant About Potential Shortened NBA Season
Former NBA player Richard Jefferson said the potential idea of the NBA shortening its 82-game season makes absolutely no sense.
Jefferson, one of the most articulate and well-spoken people in the entire NBA – something that has continued in his second career as broadcaster and TV personality, now went on a two minute rant destroying the idea of a shortened season.
“It’s absurd. They have done every single thing…You want to shorten the season? Like how much more do we have to make this coddling and all this stuff go with the players?…
…Professional sports is not good on your body. It’s supposed to separate the people that can do it from the people that can’t do it… Part of greatness is longevity… I think this is a joke.”
