17-Year Old Beaten To Death At Basketball Court Of LeBron James’ ‘I Promise’ School
LeBron James not only is one of the greatest basketball players of all time, he’s also a generous humanitarian. James has always been very active in the fight against social injustices, especially in his home town of Akron, Ohio.
In 2018, James opened an elementary school, the I PROMISE school, providing high quality education to hundreds of underprivileged inner-city children.
According to the Fordham Institute in Ohio, 90% of the school’s students met or exceeded their expected growth in math and reading.
The school’s amazing reputation now had a huge setback, as a 17-year old was beaten to death at the basketball court of James’ “I Promise” school.
The young man, who died due to a blunt force head injury, was found in the parking lot near the basketball courts Thursday night.
Police said the victim and his friends were involved in a fight that evening with a group of males who were reportedly playing basketball on the property, with the victim’s friends calling 911 after he was knocked unconscious.
