Magic Johnson Believes Stephen Curry Should Win Finals MVP No Matter The Outcome Of The Series
After four eventful games, the Warriors and the Boston Celtics find themselves tied at two games a piece in their best-of-seven NBA Finals series. The action now shifts back to Golden State for Game 5 following a triumphant game from Stephen Curry in Game 4.
Curry is doing everything for the Warriors this series and is making a strong case to get his first NBA Finals MVP as he leads the way for the Dubs with averages of 34.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game on 50.0% shooting from the field.
Considering his consistent and productive performance, Hall of Famer Magic Johnson went to Twitter and stated that the 34-year old superstar should win the Finals MVP whether or not the Warriors lose to the Celtics.
I think no matter who wins the Golden State vs. Boston series, Steph Curry should be the MVP because he’s been dominant in the first four games!

Apparently, Johnson isn’t the only person who thinks Curry should win the award no matter the outcome of the series, but also popular NBA writer and former VP of basketball operations for the Memphis Grizzlies John Hollinger. He makes his Finals MVP case for Curry in a write-up for The Athletic.
And, to close it out, the other thing we can say at this point, is Steph Curry should be the NBA Finals MVP win or lose. He’s been that much better than everyone else. A losing player hasn’t won the award since Jerry West in 1969, but it’s hard to imagine a more clear case for breaking that half-century of tradition.
