Joel Embiid Pushing The Philadelphia 76ers To Trade For Kevin Durant: “Embiid Has Made It Clear”
In a surprising turn of events, former league MVP Kevin Durant has requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets just days after teammate Kyrie Irving decided to exercise his 2022-23 player option. Nets general manager Sean Marks is now working with Durant and his business manager to find a trade partner.
The 33-year old superstar reportedly named the Phoenix Suns and the Miami Heat as his preferred destinations – two teams that clinched the first seed in their respective conferences during the recent NBA season.
Of course, while Durant is hoping to join either Phoenix or Miami, that doesn’t stop anyone else from advocating for him to join their team. Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid, for instance, has made it known that he wants the Sixers management to trade for the coveted Nets superstar.
Source: It’s unclear whether Kevin Durant is interested in joining the 76ers, but Joel Embiid has made it clear to management that he wants them to exhaust every option in trying to acquire Durant.
