Richard Jefferson Was Mic’d Up During His Debut As NBA Referee

Richard Jefferson not only is a 17-year NBA veteran and NBA champion, he’s also a broadcaster, commentator and one of the most well-spoken people in the NBA.

Jefferson now was able to add another position to his resume. In the second quarter of last night’s Summer League Game between the New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers, Jefferson gave his refereeing debut.

This was a really good by the NBA to show people who often blame the referees, that officiating is a very difficult job with no margin for error.

After Jefferson, who was mic’d up during his time as referee, was done officiating, he joined Monty McCutchen and Jorge Sedano on the mic to deliver his immediate reaction to his debut.
