Scottie Pippen Heaps Praise On Stephen Curry And Calls Him A Mini-LeBron James
LeBron James and Stephen Curry have a few things in common such as being born at the same hospital in Akron, Ohio, being two of the most influential players of this generation, and both being a four-time NBA champion.
That being said, the two superstars are completely different type of players. LeBron is a 6-foot-8 freak of nature who likes to take advantage of his athleticism and power his way to the rim, while Curry is more reliant on his shooting and excels in off-ball movement to get a shot off. Unlike LeBron, Curry also doesn’t have a significant reputation from a physical standpoint.
While it seems to be a common knowledge, Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen still thinks that the two high-profile athletes are still similar in some way. Appearing on Sirius XM NBA radio, Pippen made an interesting comparison, referring to Curry as a mini-LeBron James.
“You take a guy like Steph, he’s a mini-LeBron to some degree,” Pippen said on Sirius XM NBA radio. “From a physicality standpoint, he’s strong for his size. This guy could give us at least another six years, easily. He’s a shooter, and he’s the greatest shooter we have ever seen. He could probably play the game into his 50s if he wanted to.”
