Former Warriors Head Coach Mark Jackson Says A Healthy Los Angeles Lakers Can Still Win A Championship: “They Got A Chance Against Anybody”
The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t been completely healthy since the NBA bubble, with both LeBron James and Anthony Davis missing a large chunk of games. Health isn’t their only problem, but it’s probably the biggest one of them all.
Now after dealing with a number of injuries, the Lakers are looking to start off fresh for the upcoming 2022-23 NBA season. Davis is putting up work this offseason, while LeBron appears to be in great shape, as seen in his previous Drew League game, where he put up 42 points.
The Lakers completely changed their look this year, and they’re not done yet. While there’s still some sort of uncertainty in terms of their title window, former Golden State Warriors head coach Mark Jackson believes that the LeBron-led team can still win a championship if they remain healthy.
“Healthy, they can win a championship. If they are healthy and they compete on the defensive end, night in and night out. They can’t think we’re gonna roll the ball out and because we have three future Hall of Famers, we’re gonna outscore everybody and win. It doesn’t happen that way.
They have to develop the right habits that they didn’t have last year and get back to defending and then get healthy. They have to stay healthy, and once they do, they got a chance against anybody.”
