Derek Fisher Puts Stephen Curry In The Same Tier As Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan And Shaquille O’Neal
Stephen Curry has already made his mark as a perennial all-time great a few years ago. But after rallying the Golden State Warriors past the Boston Celtics in the recent NBA Finals to win his fourth NBA championship and first Finals MVP, Curry has definitely reached a new level of greatness.
Many fans and basketball pundits alike have already weighed in on Curry’s place in NBA history. The recent NBA personality to share his perspective was former Los Angeles Lakers guard and former NBA head coach Derek Fisher.
It’s safe to say that Fisher had nothing but respect and admiration for the 34-year old Dubs superstar. Appearing in a recent interview, Fisher paid the ultimate respect to Curry by claiming that he’s already in the same category as Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan and Shaquille O’Neal.
Per Sports Illustrated:
“Steph Curry has separated himself as one of the few guys in the history of our game, that when you look back, wherever he was or whenever he played, his teams were really successful,” Fisher said. “I put him in that category with Tim Duncan, Kobe, and Shaq. Wherever he is, success is going to follow.”
