NBA Twitter Roasted Ben Simmons After Fouling Out In Horrible Nets Debut

Ben Simmons was the main subject of criticism in Philadelphia, after his huge letdown during the NBA playoffs in 2021. He hasn’t played a game with the Sixers afterwards and was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, where he wasn’t able to make his debut until yesterday, due to concerns about his mental health and back injuries.

The 25-year old point guard was rumored to make his season-debut on Game 4 of the Eastern Conference first-round series between the Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics, but it didn’t happen as he was eventually ruled out due to back soreness.

Then during his Nets debut last night, Simmons fouled out with 9:01 left in the fourth quarter. Until then, he only was able to collect four points, five rebounds and five assists, while adding three turnovers in the blowout loss against the Pelicans.

Even though it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise for a player to be rusty in his first game in one-and-a-half years, NBA Twitter ruthlessly roasted Simmons for his debut nonetheless.
