Dion Waiters Thinks Former Teammate Russell Westbrook Is Being Made The Scapegoat In Los Angeles

Russell Westbrook failed to live up to expectations and served as one of the most disappointing players for the Lakers last season. As a result, he was made the scapegoat for the Los Angeles Lakers along with former head coach Frank Vogel.

This year, Westbrook has another chance to silence his haters and turn the tables around. However, their first two games of the season haven’t gone as well as they’d hope for, as the Lakers fell to 0-2 with Westbrook putting up a 0-for-11 shooting performance in their recent game.

With Westbrook slumping up and fans not wasting any time with their criticism, Westbrook’s former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Dion Waiters came to his defense and exclaimed that the 33-year old Lakers star needs a fresh start with another team.

“Yes but he’s not having fun he needs a fresh start & watch him go crazy on another team. If anything happen he the escape goat.”
