Anthony Davis Defends Russell Westbrook From Haters: “I Can’t Imagine How Tough It Is For Him”
Russell Westbrook failed to live up to expectations and served as one of the most disappointing players for the Lakers last season. As a result, he was made the scapegoat for the Los Angeles Lakers along with former head coach Frank Vogel.
This year, Westbrook has another chance to silence his haters and turn the tables around. However, their first three games of the season haven’t gone as well as they’d hope for, as the Lakers fell to 0-3 with Westbrook putting up some abysmal shooting numbers.
With Westbrook slumping up and fans not wasting any time with their criticism, his teammate Anthony Davis now talked about the hate towards Russ. Davis defended Westbrook and said that the Los Angeles Lakers are fully supporting their point guard.
“As an organization last year, we saw it. I can’t imagine how it is for him, but just as a teammate and an organization, we are supporting him and make sure that he doesn’t get caught up in it. That’s where things can go bad for him. We want to make sure he is continuously in great space. He was all smiles today and we wanna make sure that he know no matter what we are on his side. Whatever he needs from on and off the court, we are here.”
