Russell Westbrook Buys House Across The Street From LeBron James
After failing to make the NBA playoffs last season, the Los Angeles Lakers made a big change at the head coach position, as they moved on from Frank Vogel to Darvin Ham. They also focused on bringing in younger and athletic role players this season as opposed to the year prior.
But while the Lakers attempted to get better, the team opened up the 2022-23 NBA season with a 0-4 record and many NBA fans and pundits feel that it’s time for the Lakers to pull the trigger for a major trade.
It’s no secret that the Lakers tried to shop Russell Westbrook throughout the offseason, but nothing came to fruition and they ended up running it back with the 33-year old point guard.
Now, latest reports stated that the Lakers are expected to resume trade talks involving Westbrook with teams such as Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz later in the season.
But Westbrook doesn’t seem too fazed by the rumors, as the point guard bought a house for $37M yesterday. Interestingly enough, the house is directly across the street from LeBron James.
The house previously belonged to Formula 1 heiress, Petra Ecclestone, who bought it for $23M in 2019. Pretty great flip.
