Carlos Arroyo Says Former Teammate LeBron James Doesn’t Deserve To Struggle With The Lakers At This Point Of His Career

The Los Angeles Lakers are now 0-4 on the season after losing to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night. This is the first time since the 2003-04 NBA season that a LeBron James-led team has gone winless through the first four games of the regular season.

On the year, LeBron is averaging 25.3 points, 10.0 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game on 45.3% shooting from the field. While he’s still a top player in the NBA, LeBron is almost 38 years old and having him on a struggling team like the Lakers is clearly not an ideal scenario for an aging player like him.

Before their game against the Nuggets, LeBron’s former teammate Carlos Arroyo interestingly shared his thoughts on LeBron and the Lakers. According to Arroyo, LeBron is determined about winning and doesn’t deserve what he’s going through with his team at this stage of his career.

“I feel bad for Bron, man,” Arroyo said. “I played with Bron in Miami, and you guys played with Bron. You know how serious he is about the game. You know how determined he is about winning. He cares.”

“I know he’s struggling. I know he has to be struggling in that locker room. He’s putting on the great face of being a professional.”

“I don’t think he deserves what he’s going through at this point in his career,” Arroyo said. “But I would say he’s a great leader. Hopefully he turns things around over there.”
