LeBron James Reveals He’s Been Sick And Was Bedridden Since Sunday: “Today Was The First Day I Got Out Of Bed”
The Los Angeles Lakers took the win against the New Orleans Pelicans with a score of 120-117 on Wednesday night. Lonnie Walker led the Lakers in scoring with 28 points on 52.9% shooting from the field.
Aside from Walker’s impressive scoring outburst, their game against the Pelicans came with a few notable takeaways. One of which was the performance of LeBron James.
While the 37-year old superstar finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists, it was easy to tell that he struggled to get his flow going as he only shot 39.1% from the field, looked out of strength and couldn’t even blow by defenders.
After their win, LeBron now revealed the cause for his lackluster performance, saying that he has felt sick and was barely able to get out of bed prior to Wednesday’s game. He also mentioned that his condition caused him to miss their recent Halloween party.
“I’ve been better. Today was the first day I got out of bed since Sunday night after the game. I missed the Halloween party without my guys on Monday. … Soon as I leave here I’m going back to bed for sure.”
LeBron then clarified that it was illness that took a toll on him and not his foot injury.
“A virus, I would say. More like sick. My foot is my foot. I’ll figure that out. I think Tom Brady’s been on the injury report for like 20 straight years. Somehow he just plays. I’ve been in bed since Sunday because my body told my ass to sit down.”
