NBA Writer Thinks Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Might Already Be Better Than Ja Morant: “Doing Something Michael Jordan Has Only Done”
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has improved his level of play over the recent years, and his ascension has only continued this season. Having proven his worth last season as a rising young player, Shai now stepped up big time for the Oklahoma City Thunder as a budding superstar.
This year, the 24-year old combo guard is averaging 32.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game on 54.6% shooting from the field. Gilgeous-Alexander has surprised plenty of people as he outplays even some of the biggest stars in the NBA.
NBA writer and analyst Tim Bontemps now fired off a hot take when talking about the young OKC Thunder star. Appearing on “First Take”, Bontemps exclaimed that Gilgeous-Alexander might now be a better player than Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant.
“We talked about a whole segment yesterday about Ja Morant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander might be better than Ja Morant. He is one of the best players in the league and he is the most underrated player in the league… He’s doing something Wilt Chamberlain has only done, he’s doing something Michael Jordan has only done.”
