76ers Fan With Huge Ben Simmons Tattoo Finally Got A Cover-Up
After being drafted as the No.1 overall pick, Ben Simmons was penciled in as a franchise cornerstone for the Philadelphia 76ers alongside superstar big man Joel Embiid. That seemed the case before Simmons flamed out against the Atlanta Hawks in the 2021 NBA playoffs.
Simmons’ career then took a wild turn from there. Eventually, the three-time All-Star was traded to the Brooklyn Nets for former MVP James Harden at the trade deadline last season.
Simmons got his desired fresh new start, and after some early season struggles, Simmons is currently turning things around and has averaged 16.4 points on 83% shooting from the field, 7.2 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks over his last five games.
While everybody likely enjoys seeing Simmons thrive again, Sixers fans tend to do the opposite.
Philly native Dillon Schmanek is one example. Schmanek had a huge tattoo if Ben Simmons on his bicep, that he wanted to be part of a Mt. Rushmore type collage of Philadelphia stars he calls “The Process.”

However, after Simmons’ inglorious departure last season, the fan now covered up his Ben Simmons tattoo, replacing it with an image of Joel Embiid.
Good time to mention that the Philly guy with the full-sleeve Ben Simmons tattoo managed to get a fairly impressive cover up done a few weeks ago! pic.twitter.com/9Ecs1DBNTu
